I'm looking forward to a nice white-and-black tiger stripe, P*mp-mechs ahoy. Won't use it myself but I know someone will do this, and I shall enjoy seeing it from time to time.

Agreed. I bet it looks cool, but unless they change the way purchased paints and patterns work, I don't see myself buying it. The only way I'm going to buy more paints or patterns with the way they currently have visual customizations set up is if I ever find ONE pattern and/or color scheme that I want to give a particular 'mech and NEVER CHANGE IT AGAIN. EVER. Which is to say, highly unlikely unless I've stopped playing the game.

Well, I have had the same forest Camo on my Mech since it was released. Once Tiger stripe comes i will switch up. So I am only paying for the paint once.

Not if you ever want to switch back to a Forest Camo on that same 'mech. You'll have to pay for it again. And every time you want to make any change, even back to things that you previously bought. With the current system, you don't keep the things you pay for, you throw them away if you ever change from them.

Just like if i was to paint my car then want to change the color back. it's a couple bucks at most... Not an issue to me. I buy 3000MC a week and Might change my colors every other.

You're spending $15/week... $60/month on this game? Good for you, but not everyone has that kind of disposable income to toss on a videogame to customize it in a way to make it more enjoyable for them.

I would like to see some additional colours added.

THEN, maybe you could buy the colour for a chassis and keep that colour for chassis as long as you own a variant of that chassis. Example: I own all Centurions. I want to paint them say Black and I dont know, orange (different shade from what we have now, maybe brighter). So I BUY the Black and the (light)Orange and I can ALWAYS use them on my Centurions, even if I change them to Red and Green for the Holidays. IF I want to go back to the Black and Light Orange, I can because i bought them....
